The KNS Extended series detects liquid, powdery and solid materials, as well as metallic and non-metallic parts. The sensors are available in sizes from Ø6.5 to M32.

KNS Extended M32 with IO-Link
Rugged, reliable and long-lasting
When it comes to transporting, dosing, mixing and drying granulate before the injection process, our KNS Extended M32 sensors are the perfect solution. Their major advantage is the sensor surface, which is resistant to abrasive substances and temperature-resistant up to 120°C, allowing the sensors to be installed without a protective screen. The large switching distance of up to 16 mm makes the robust KNS M32 flexible to use.
With IO-Link, KNS Extended sensors are not only easier to integrate into the control system, new diagnostic functions also significantly increase process reliability.

Our KNS Extended capacitive proximity sensors with IO-Link are ideally suited for highly precise applications in the electronics and automobile industry and other industries in which materials and components may need to be detected precisely in production processes. Thanks to IO-Link, the integration of KNS Extended sensors into the control system is simpler and new diagnostic functions provide additional benefits for reducing the risk of faulty work by the sensors.
KNS Extended IO-Link sensors are available with switching distance from 0.2 to 12 mm, in the smallest sizes in Ø 6.5 mm, M8 and M12. All of them have flush and non-flush installation formats - with cable and plug connectors. Sensitivity and NO/NC switching are adjusted via IO-Link.

The KNS Extended series with IO-Link is especially suited for applications in the electronics industry, e.g. for mounting plug connectors or for position checking of circuit boards. Further areas of application are found in the automobile industry, such as the detection of plastic parts during assembly of headlights or cockpits.
The KNS Extended series is especially well suited for the wood and furniture industry, where they reliably detect boards and planks in automated assembly machines.

Our capacitive proximity sensors detect liquid, powdery and solid materials precisely and reliably. They are equally suitable for the detection of metallic and non-metallic parts. Parts can also be detected through container walls or packaging.
KNS Extended sensors with potentiometer are available with switching distance from 0.2 to 8 mm, in the smallest sizes in Ø 6.5 mm, M8 and M12. All of them have flush and non-flush installation formats - with cable and plug connectors. Sensitivity and NO/NC switching are adjusted via a multi-turn potentiometer.
