Signaling the end of a label roll
The label roll is located on a transparent glass plate of the label unwinder. In the course of operating the machine, the outer diameter of the label tape gets smaller. The approaching end of a label roll has to be detected in a timely manner. The sensor sees the label roll through a transparent pane to detect the remaining label tape. When it is nearly used up, the sensor detects the lack of label roll and the switching signal changes. Because of their compact design, sensors from the O-30 series require minimal space and are also very easy to operate using a potentiometer and NO/NC switching.
