Checking the diameter for a film extruder
For blown film machines, the diameter of the blown film has to be determined. Three ultrasonic sensors offset by 120° continually measure the diameter of the blown film. The evaluation / measurement is done completely via IO-Link. In order to prevent mutual influence of the US-M12 ultrasonic sensors, IO-Link gives you the option to switch the ultrasonic transducer on and/or off in a targeted manner. The measurement of the three ultrasonic sensors takes place in an alternating manner.
